WONDER WOMEN

Ninety years since the first Indonesian Women's Congress on 22 December 1928, a great many Indonesian women remain marginalised, their voices and aspirations ignored, their work unrecognised. The 2018 Global Gender Gap Report by the World Economic Forum ranks Indonesia at 85th place out of 149 countries. But many have refused to sit still. These women have continued to take forward strides, enlisting other women in the march to better, more dignified lives.
